“How does BTZ really work?”
It’s a question that has sparked countless discussions online. Many shoppers have wondered how our operations differ from traditional in the Philippines.
At Bermor TechZone (BTZ), we’ve always believed in doing things differently, pushing innovation in how retail and e-commerce work, and venturing beyond the usual store-to-customer process.
However, we understand that our system can sometimes be misunderstood. Most stores, including BTZ at the start simply take your order and ship your parcel individually. But BTZ has always aimed to help more, to build a streamlined nationwide tech shopping experience that connects customers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. This is when our early clients start providing feedback, “can we just add to cart and checkout anytime?”
From branch-based shipping to connecting multiple warehouses nationwide, we’ve grown fast. This expansion brought great progress, and unique challenges. Our business model had no local blueprint; we built everything in-house. While foreign systems existed, the logistics landscape in the Philippines required a different approach. The reason why we barely observed business doing this apart from foreign platforms like Shopee and Lazada.
Many have asked why no other tech store in the Philippines operates like BTZ. The answer: it’s complex and demanding. Yet, we pursued this very fulfilling venture yet very challenging, because we wanted every Filipino, wherever they are, to have access to the best computer parts, laptops, and gaming PCs online. A platform focused on computers with trusted brands only and very competitive price.
Now, we’re entering a new phase, transitioning from multiple approach with both branches and warehouses serving online to just one centralized hub dedicated exclusively to online orders.
Why We’re Changing How We Operate
Over the years, BTZ has evolved from a single store into a nationwide e-commerce system. But with growth comes challenges. Like tons of clients are asking for delivery progress via chat or email like the usual stores but we at BTZ adapted status update on clients account like mainstream platforms. However, some says its too ahead of time, they prefer the chat update and others.
1. Multiple Warehouses Meant Complex Logistics
This is the recent innovation on how we operate which we connected several branches and warehouses serving online customers. This helped us reach more regions but created logistical challenges such as:
- Varying delivery times depending on branch location, some receives it just one day while others are compromised timeframes
- Inconsistent stock visibility between regions
- Delays due to inter-branch transfers
These factors occasionally led to delivery delays, something we’ve worked hard to solve.
2. Centralizing to Improve Accuracy and Speed
We’ve listened to customer feedback and learned from years of experience. Starting third week of October 2025, BTZ will fully transition to a dedicated online warehouse for all in stock product stock status.
This major upgrade will:
- Provide transparency of online warehouse stocks availability ONLY
- Improve dispatch speed for ready-to-ship items
- Enhance coordination with our nationwide logistics partners
- Enable faster and more consistent delivery across the Philippines
We’ll still maintain the connection with some of our regional warehouses, but items from those locations will now be clearly marked as “INQUIRE FIRST” for full transparency.
This ensures that products labeled “AVAILABLE” are physically stocked at our central warehouse dedicated for online orders and ready to ship immediately.
Addressing Shipping Timeframes
Shipping has always been one of the most discussed aspects of BTZ. We’ve successfully shipped nationwide since 2012, but we also recognize that some orders in the last 3 years took longer than expected especially during our rapid growth phase.
That’s why we’re introducing clearer shipping labels so customers can easily understand stock availability and delivery timelines:
- 24Hrs Delivery Badge – Items already within our BTZ mobile logistics trucking network, ready to be dropped off to our partner couriers. Eligible for same-day or next-day delivery, depending on destination and route.
- Domestic Stocks / In-Stock – Products available at our central warehouse, ready to ship immediately after order confirmation.
- Inquire First – Items located in branch or regional warehouses. We will still keep this until we have moved more stocks to central warehouse. These improved feature is to check items that can still be ordered online, but delivery times may vary and require inquiry first. A stock status that gives transparency for items that may take longer if client is still interested.
During this period October 2025 onwards, as we consolidate all regional warehouses into one central warehouse hub, some products previously labeled as “In-Stock” will now temporarily appear as “Inquire First.” This allows us to apply the new system immediately while completing the relocation process.
With this new structure, customers can finally see accurate, real-time stock information, creating a smoother and more transparent online shopping experience.
Our Bold Commitment: Cashback for Delayed Orders
We understand that reliability is everything when you shop online. That’s why BTZ is introducing a new guarantee:
If an order is delayed shipped out, we’ll issue cashback to the customer.
This bold move shows how serious we are about improving logistics and accountability. We want every customer to shop at BTZ knowing their order is backed by a real commitment to service quality.
What to Expect Next
The transition to a centralized BTZ online warehouse won’t happen overnight. With existing contracts, facilities, inventories, distance and logistics partners to restructure, this will roll out gradually over the next few months. Some inventories that are usually INSTOCK will be labeled INQUIRE FIRST during the transition.
During the transition period:
- Some products will still ship from branch warehouses and explicitly labeled as “INQUIRE FIRST” for transparency
- Product listings will be continuously updated with detailed stock and shipping info.
- The new central warehouse will expand its capacity to handle all online PC orders in the Philippines.
Despite the scale of this change, we’re confident it will deliver a faster, more transparent, and more reliable online shopping experience for everyone.
